
PRINTECH 2007 presented by Mumbai Mudrak Sangh, the much awaited event of the year was held in great style from 15th December to 19th December 2007 in Hall No. 1 of the Bombay Exhibition Centre, Goregaon (E), Mumbai.

The Visitors
There were visitors from every nook & corner of India, especially the interiors of Maharashtra. This was perhaps the result of the road shows which were organized in smaller towns like Kolhapur, Belgaum, Satara, Karad, Koregaon, Icchalkaranji, Pune, Alibaug, Chiplun, Ratnagiri, etc., besides metropolitan cities like Mumbai, Chennai, Delhi and Bangalore.
The Support
The journey of PRINTECH 2007, which began with the support of All India Federation of Master Printers (AIFMP), soon mustered the support of Indian Printing Packaging & Allied Machinery Manufacturers’ Association (IPAMA). Finally, six more bodies supported this mega event, namely, Maharashtra Mudran Parishad (MMP), Asian Packaging Federation (APF), Indian Institute of Packaging (IIP), All India Printing Ink Manufacturers’ Association Ltd. (AIPIMA), Printing and Printing Equipment Industries’ Association of China (PEIAC) and The Printing Material & Ink Dealers’ Association (PMIDA). With this massive support, MMS has proved that it pays to bring together one’s synergies.
The Participation
There were more than 150 participants in a net area of around 4000 sq. mts.. PRINTECH 2007, which also incorporated Packaging Expo 2007 had something in store for every printer, because of the wide spectrum of exhibitors. At the end, the ‘exhibitor’ and the ‘visitor’ benefited immensely from this mega show.
The Inauguration
The inauguration function of PRINTECH 2007 was held on the afternoon of 15th December 2007 in the International Lounge of Hall No. 1 at the same venue. The dais included, AIFMP President – Mr. R.N. Dutta Baruah, IPAMA President – Mr. H.V. Sheth, IIP Chairman & AIPIMA President – Mr. B.S. Kampani, MMP President – Mr. Anand Limaye, PEIAC Representative – Ms. Tracy and PMIDA President – Mr. Kireet Bhuta.
Traditional lighting of the lamp was followed by the Key note address of Mr. Uday Dhote – MMS President, where he expressed that, “In Emerging India, since the entrepreneur is at the centre of all the happenings, he has to be exposed to a lot of new things frequently and this is precisely where exhibitions play an important role. So, I am surethat every printer would stand to benefit from this mega show. |
